Bent Sørensen

Bent Sørensen is a Danish composer who came to prominence in the late twentieth century and works primarily in contemporary classical music, producing orchestral, chamber, vocal and operatic works. His music is characterised by fragile, slow-evolving textures, sustained attention to timbre and microtonal or pitch-shifting effects, and a frequent engagement with themes of memory and loss within a Scandinavian contemporary art-music context.
