Irén Lovász

Irén Lovász is a Hungarian singer who emerged in the 1980s and has specialised in traditional folk, sacred and medieval music, drawing on Hungary’s musical heritage. Her repertoire draws on Hungarian folk, Sephardic and medieval sources, and she has combined traditional vocal techniques with contemporary arrangements and collaborations with early-music ensembles to preserve and reinterpret Central European and Mediterranean song traditions.
