Nils Petter Molvær

Nils Petter Molvær is a Norwegian trumpeter and composer from Langevåg on the island of Sula who began his professional career in the 1980s and is associated with contemporary jazz. His work blends jazz trumpet with electronic textures, ambient soundscapes and elements of drum and bass and trip hop, reflecting a crossover between Scandinavian jazz and electronic music and including recordings released on the ECM label.
