Romeo & Juliet (Highlights) is a highlights album of Sergei Prokofiev's ballet music, drawn from the score he composed for the ballet in 1935–36. The music blends sweeping romantic lyricism with sharp, propulsive rhythms and colourful orchestration, exemplifying Prokofiev's fusion of melodic invention and modern harmonic language and occupying an important place in his output for ballet and in 20th-century ballet repertoire.
