Albums from the 1970s

The 1970s was a decade that danced on the precipice of excess whilst embracing the counterculture. From the raucous energy of punk rock emerging from dingy London pubs to the melodic swells of disco lighting up dance floors, it was a veritable smorgasbord of sound. Technology played a delightful trick on musicians, with synthesizers making their debut; suddenly, tunes could have the depth of a kiddie pool filled with glitter. Not to mention the album cover art, which often seemed to take itself far too seriously, picking up where the psychedelic 60s left off. Quite the curious era, if you ask me.
